Five ways to improve your semester in the ASC

02.13.2017 | By:

The first month of the spring semester is over. How are your classes going? Are you happy with your progress so far?

Here are five ways the Academic Success Center (ASC) can support you this semester:

1. Go to tutoring

Students who attend tutoring are more likely to be successful in their courses. We have 18 tutors who can help you with your courses.

2. Attend an academic workshop

Our academic workshops will help you brush up on basic skills such as study skills, test taking and time management. You might even learn you are studying the wrong way for a particular type of course. If you have attended a workshop in the past, a refresher could be helpful.

3. Study in the ASC

Looking for a new place to study? The ASC is a great place to concentrate plus we have study resources available for your use.

4. Meet with our student success coordinator

Think you are doing all the right things, but still struggling? Maybe you need to schedule an appointment with Alex Scribner, our Coordinator of Student Success Services. She can help you determine your learning style to make sure you are studying the right way.

5. Use an ASC computer

Forgot your laptop? Use a laptop while you are working in the ASC.
