It is that time of year again when you are asked to consider others. For the fourth year in a row, with the run up to Thanksgiving, the Food Pantry is organizing a Food Drive. Half of the items donated will help fill the Food Pantry and the other half will be donated to the Church who then distribute those items to our neighbors in need.

You can find boxes in most buildings around campus where you can drop off any unopened food items, or hygiene products. A $50 award has been offered to the Student Organization that collects the most items. To participate those items must be dropped off directly at the Food Pantry to be logged against the particular organization, or with Dr. Simons in PMC 218.

We are requesting such items as canned goods, dry food goods, boxed meals, and snacks, and hygiene items. The closing date for donations is November 19th. This will give us time to count the items and distribute to the Food Pantry and Church in time for Thanksgiving.

If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact Dr. Simons at asimons@txwes.edu, or (817) 531-4908.
