The Texas Wesleyan Office of Admissions announced the arrival of four new staff members, (left to right) Kaylee Perry, Danyelle Snead, Trent Sandles and Melondy Doddy in May.

In addition to these new staff members, Chadd Bridwell joined the office as the University's new associate vice president of enrollment.

Melondy Doddy, Admissions Processor

As a part of the Admissions team, Doddy will oversee the Student Caller program along with the Go Centers and the G-Force. The Go Centers are powered by the G-Force who provide high school students support with SAT/ACT registration, college applications, FAFSA/TAFSA, scholarship research and much more.

As an undergraduate at Texas Wesleyan, Doddy worked as a G-Force mentor at the Crowley High School Go Center location. She is excited about working with the programs and creating further growth between the Go Centers and Texas Wesleyan.

Doddy, a Comparative Religious Studies graduate of Texas Wesleyan University, joins the University from the RadioShack Corporate office. She worked as a wireless compliance specialist and as an assistant buyer for Verizon and TracFone.

Doddy, Fort Worth native, loves traveling and is currently pursuing a Master of Theological Studies at Brite Divinity School.

Kaylee Perry, Event Coordinator

As part of the Office of Admission team, Perry will plan and coordinate special events for prospective students and their families, such as open houses, sneak previews, admitted students day, scholarship day and TACRAO calendar and event scheduling. She is extremely eager to contribute to Texas Wesleyan’s growing student population, but she is most enthusiastic about working with prospective students and their families as well as faculty and staff.

“Kaylee jumped right into her position within the Office of Admissions and has been an essential asset to our progress. We are very excited to have her as our events coordinator. She brings a lot of energy and experience to our team, which I know will prove beneficial for all of the exciting things we are planning!”

Perry is a 2013 graduate of Texas Wesleyan, and was formerly an administrative assistant for the School of Business Administration.

She has several years of experience planning and executing events, receptions, ceremonies and special occasions. She has also managed and developed various student aid programs including SOBA’s English Practice Partner and Mentorship Program.

Perry is a native of Fort Worth and an ardent reader and blogger. She is also passionate about community service and social awareness.

Trent Sandles, Campus Visit Coordinator

Sandles joined the Admissions team at the beginning of the semester and immediately hit the ground running by revamping the Ram Preview Days and hiring 22 tour guides, all of whom completed a very intense and rigorous training.

With the help of the Admissions team, Sandles also planned the inagural "Go Wesleyan Day," which proved to be very successful in linking admitted students to the University and will go on to be an annual tradition.

Sandles will plan, coordinate and execute tours and preview days to introduce prospective students to the University. He tries to make every tour and event unique by doing something slightly different with each one. This model is something Sandles feels is going to be the best way to focus on a student's needs and really help them understand what “Smaller. Smarter.” means

Sandles will graduate in May with a degree in Business Management and a minor in English. He plans to pursue a career in higher education.

He is a native of Seattle, Wash., but calls Texas home. He thoroughly enjoys dining around the city and discovering new restaurants.

Danyelle Snead, Administrative Assistant

As part of the Office of Admission family, Snead will assist potential students as well as staff providing administrative support for all needs related to admissions. She is extremely enthusiastic about working with students and staff and to contribute to their experience at Texas Wesleyan.

Snead’s valuable administrative experience coupled with her passion for people qualify her to perform the duties and responsibilities set for her.

“Danyelle has stepped into her new role and delivered a very high level of service to our staff and our prospective students,” says Barry Grubbs, senior transfer counselor. “She has a natural strength in working with people and a very professional attitude. The Admission’s staff and the university as a whole are stronger now that Danyelle is part of our family.”

Snead, born and raised in Grand Prairie, is now living in Fort Worth with her husband and two dogs. She is passionate about CrossFit and also enjoys running on the Trinity Trails.
