For the second consecutive year, the University's marketing and communications team garnered national recognition for integrated marketing projects that build on the University's "Smaller. Smarter." message.

Texas Wesleyan won four Collegiate Advertising Award medals, including two golds, for the following projects:

The Collegiate Ad Awards honor the nation's most elite collegiate advertising professionals for excellence in marketing. Texas Wesleyan competed amongst the likes of Babson College, Southeastern University and Stevenson University.

"These awards represent excellence – not only excellence in the judges' minds but excellence in results," John Veilleux, vice president for marketing and communications, said. "These most recent awards are representative of a cross spectrum of our work, as well as the talents of our diverse and gifted team members."

Last year, the marketing team won Collegiate Ad Awards for the overall advertising campaign, email marketing, brochures and website design. In 2012, they won recognition from the Higher Education Marketing Awards (HEMA) and from the American Advertising Federation Fort Worth Chapter, also known as the ADDY Awards. 2013 HEMA and ADDY Awards will be announced in March this year.

The "Smaller. Smarter." branding campaign first launched in 2012. The marketing and communications team aspires to raise Texas Wesleyan's visibility through a consistent brand message and deliberate communication strategy. Building on Texas Wesleyan's intentionally small message and working to fulfill the University's Strategic Plan, Texas Wesleyan's marketing team delivers measurable results.
