The Texas Wesleyan University Diversity and Inclusion Council is proud to announce 2021 Black History Month (BHM) programming featuring celebration, discussions, culture and the arts of past and present African-American lives. All students, staff and faculty are invited to join us all month to celebrate these unique contributions.

We are excited to present this BHM lineup of events and speakers:

Feb. 4: Black Women Entrepreneurs hosted by Brenton Flowers and Dr. Thomas Bell at 6:30 p.m.

Feb. 18: “Tell It Like It Is” Black History and the Methodist Church at 6:30 p.m.

Feb. 25: BHM Read-in: "The Fire Next Time" at 11:30 a.m. -- This event has been postponed. Rescheduled information will be released soon.

To participate, join the event on Zoom. You can also stream it on the Texas Wesleyan University Diversity and Inclusion Facebook page. Please join us as we celebrate and learn more about the impact of African-Americans on the local community and beyond. In addition, look for weekly Facebook posts of media selections curated to inform us of issues and historic moments in Black culture.
