Join us on Oct. 30 for a snack and to learn more about disability accommodations

10.10.2018 | By:
Disability Awareness Event How we do it was an informative time presented by Disability Accommodations Coordinator, Julie Keller. Julie shared an overview for students on completing the disability accommodations application and information on goals for the university.

As disability services continues to build upon Texas Wesleyan University’s commitment to diversity and inclusion, the disability services department remains dedicated to the process of providing reasonable accommodations for students with disabilities.

As President Slabach has stated, “our commitment to diversity and inclusion not only strengthens and enriches our campus community, but also increases our competitiveness in an ever-changing higher education landscape.” Therefore, you can be part of this commitment by learning about advocacy for yourself or other employees and students with disabilities, resources that are available, and how to receive disability accommodations.

Several speakers will share information as it relates to vocational rehabilitation and accommodations on campus

Applications for disability accommodations will be available for students wishing to sign up for our services, and Texas Workforce Solutions will be available to share information.

  • When: Oct. 30 from 12 - 1 p.m.
  • Where: Library Orientation Room
