Education Event for Mental Health First Aid set for Sept. 13 & 20
Texas Wesleyan Human Resources Department and My Health My Resources (MHMR) partners together for public education that introduces attendees to risk factors and warning signs of mental health programs, builds understanding of their impact and overviews appropriate support.
Like CPR, Mental Health First Aid prepares participants to interact with a person in a crisis and connect the person with help. First Aiders do not diagnose or provide any counseling or therapy. Instead, this program offers concrete tools and answers key questions like, “What do I do?” and “Where can someone find help?”
Space is limited, open to full-time staff and faculty only. This is a two-day session. Participants are expected to attend both.
RSVP to the following sessions to Kim Stergio at firstname.lastname@example.org before Sept. 11.
