Intramurals are back at Texas Wesleyan, join now
We know that organizing extracurricular activities outside the classroom is a big part of giving you a well-rounded college experience. AAron Whaley, director of the Morton Fitness Center, and his intramural team are bringing back the intramural competition to Texas Wesleyan. Starting this semester intramurals are back! We're not wasting any time getting the students on campus active and participating in leagues and tournaments.
With the help of Liz Menchaca, the new intramural director, Whaley and his team are planning to bring back a few popular programs for students to participate in. The flag football, indoor soccer, and disc golf leagues kick off this fall semester along with dodgeball, poker, and sand volleyball tournaments as well.
Are you interested in starting a team, playing as a free agent, or just want to know more about the new intramural programs coming this fall? You will have countless opportunities to sign up and join. Your first opportunity is Aug. 16 at the President’s Picnic in the Sid Richardson Gym.
You will also have the opportunity to sign up for the Texas Wesleyan intramural mobile App. Keep up with all of the intramural events, scores, schedule, free-agent lists and much more. Mark your calendars for the intramural interest meetings during free period from 12:15–1:30 p.m., Aug. 30 and Sept. 1.
What does all this mean? You are in college now, so get out of your comfort zone and get out of your room. Get out there, meet new people and get involved. We'll see you out on the field. Go Rams!
