Recently, several key deparments from around campus took a tour of the PACCAR/ Peterbilt assembly plant in Denton. In attendance were Michael Gatton from Career Services, Mark Griggs from Strategic Partnerships, Jerri Schooley from Advancement, Dr. Quintanilla and Dr. Anderson from the School of Business and Djuanna Young and Vanessa Wadlington from Admissions. Mark and Jerri arranged the tour to foster new strategic buisness relationships and secure educational aggreements for Peterbilt employees to attend Texas Wesleyan. Career Services took the occasion to connect with HR hiring managers and pursue future internship and hiring opportunities for our students. Both, Dr. Quintanilla and Dr. Anderson said this was one of the best employer tours they had been on and were impressed by the assembly operation and real world application of just-in-time manufacturing.
