Congratulations to the tutor of the month in the ASC: Kime Sims.‌

Kime is a new tutor this semester in the ASC but don’t let that fool you. She is an outstanding tutor. Her energy and love for life flow into each session. Students receive positive feedback and leave the ASC with a better grasp of writing skills.

Kime is a very organized student, and this skill is part of what makes her a great tutor. Each appointment follows a similar process. Once she determines how she can assist a student, they partner together to work through the assignment together. She uses every chance of the session to engage students and provide opportunities for learning. 

At the end of the session, she recaps with the student and provides them with a list of finishing touches for the assignment. Students always leave with a better understanding of the assignment and ways to improve on the next one.
