October 5-9 is National Tutor Appreciation Week. This is a great time to show your gratitude for the great work that our tutors do in assisting students in their courses. Each one of them works very hard to assist many students on this campus.

On any given day in the ASC, you will find students receiving tutoring for a variety of courses: math, biology, physics, accounting and writing. In fact, last semester they tutored 2,878 appointments.

When a student meets with a tutor for the first time, they are often nervous. After the first few minutes of their appointment, their tutor calms their fears and offers encouragement. The ASC tutors truly care about their tutees and strive to help them become independent learners.

If you are attending a tutoring session this week, take a moment to thank your tutor or feel free to come by the ASC to say thanks to your favorite tutor.
