Personal Biography 

Michael Plantz is a freelance musician currently working in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Michael is on the adjunct music faculty at Dallas Baptist University, teaching piano classes and applied piano. He is active as music director, pianist and accompanist for concerts, recitals, competitions, auditions and musical theater productions.

Michael’s musical theater credits include over forty shows, working for such theaters as Jubilee Theatre, Kids Who Care, Theatre Arlington, Casa Manana, Dallas Summer Musicals School of Musical Theater, several touring productions, among others. In 2012, he toured with the Theater of the Stars production of “The King and I” as assistant music director and pianist. Michael is also in demand as an organist for church services, weddings, recitals and concerts.

Michael also maintains a private studio where he teaches private piano and voice and coaches vocalists in both musical theater and classical genres. He holds a Master of Music in Organ Performance, a Master of Music in Music Ministry and a Bachelor of Arts in Music Education.
