To prepare for Theatre Wesleyan's production of Nick Jones' zany high fashion sci-fi comedy, opening at Theatre Wesleyan on Feb. 15, theatre major Tobin Griffin has created a Top 5 list for audience members.  Here are Tobin Griffin's "Top 5 Hats That Audience Members Should Wear to Important Hats."

5. An Ushanka

Why not support the arts while your scalp is caressed by rabbit fur? It's foolish, but it's warm so who cares?

4. Your Favorite Ball Cap

Whether it's a faded thrift store fitted hat or a crisp new snapback. This hat is perfectly appropriate for hiding your hair and seeing a good show. 

3. A Warm Beanie or Toque

It's winter time it'll be cold and for this headwear practicality can actually look good with the right cozy outfit.

2. A Newsboy Hat

This hat is perfect to wear to the theatre because its sleek it's chic and the cast might sing along if you bust into "Santa Fe" from Dsiney's Newsies after the show.

1. A Bucket Hat With Dr. Cromwell's Face On It

Now I may be biased [Tobin plays "Dr. Cromwell" in Important Hats] but this is the epitome of style comfort and down right sensuality. Impress your date with your commitment to a joke, all while showing the rest of the audience what a true patron looks like.

Hats will be directed by Bryan Stevenson, theatre department chair, and will open on Thursday, Feb. 15, for a limited run of seven performances through Sunday, Feb. 25.

Performances will be held Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. and there will be one matinee at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 25.
