Dr. Gladys Childs named dean of freshmen

Gladys Childs, Ph.D., has been named the new dean of freshmen at Texas Wesleyan.

Childs will serve as the primary faculty advocate for freshmen to ensure their success on campus.

In addition to overseeing the Academic Success Experience (ASE) classes, Dr. Childs will work with the Academic Advising and Academic Success Centers, International Programs and Student Affairs to promote the welfare of freshmen and their campus support systems. She will also continue in her role as university chaplain.

If you are a faculty or staff member who comes across a freshman needing help, please contact Dr. Childs at x. 4296 and her office is located in Dan Waggoner Hall Annex room 201.
