Professor quoted in New York Times in aftermath of biker gang violence

Greg Gullion, Ph.D., professor of sociology and criminal justice, was interviewed by local and national media regarding biker gangs in the aftermath of the biker gang dispute at Twin Peaks restaurant in Waco on May 17.

Greg Gullion, Ph.D., professor of sociology and criminal justice, was interviewed by local and national media regarding biker gangs in the aftermath of the biker gang dispute at Twin Peaks restaurant in Waco on May 17.

Gullion is an expert on gangs, particularly rivalries and symbolism in gangs. 

On the day after the shooting, Gullion interviewed with reporters from the New York Times, the Dallas Morning News and the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. Each reporter was searching for insight from an academic expert on gangs and potential reasons for the dispute. The New York Times story also ran in the Boston Globe and the Fort Worth Star-Telegram story also ran in the Austin-American Statesman.
