The West Express Eatery (WEE) is now open

Business accelerator work begins

The HUD approved business accelerator is scheduled to begin construction in a few weeks and is expected to take three to four months to complete. The building is located at 3114 E. Rosedale next to the counseling center. It will be a small business advising center for entrepreneurs and business owners in east Fort Worth.

The WEE now serving pizza

The West Express Eatery (WEE) opened earlier this month, and the wait for pizza is over. The WEE will start serving made‐to-order pizzas this week.

Wrapping up the athletic weight room

The new athletic weight room in the Brown‐Lupton Student Center is almost complete. Weights are arriving this week and Facilities is renovating space to accommodate a laundry room. When complete, the weight room will be open to all student athletes.

Updating campus technology

The A/V equipment in the new football offices was installed this week and the equipment for the Science Lecture Theater (SLT) will be arriving in the coming weeks. TVs are also being installed in the seating area of the WEE for students, faculty and staff to enjoy while eating or hanging out.

Other projects in the works:

  • Brown-Lupton Student Center entryway and Student Life suite updates will begin soon.
  • Painting and power washing of the exterior of Sid Richardson Gym and the School of Business.
