On March 5, Texas Wesleyan students and alumni got the chance to network with 25 employers during an on-campus career fair hosted by TXWES Career Services. The companies were looking to fill full-time, part-time and internship positions.

Several of the employers commended TXWES students and alumni on their professionalism. In the post-fair survey, all the employers rated the students as “good” or “excellent.” Michael Gatton, associate director of Texas Wesleyan Career Services, believes that many students dressed to impress, thanks in part to a TXWES event held just before the fair.

“I think because of the JC Penney Suit-Up event the weekend before many students showed up in professional dress and the employers noticed,” Gatton said. “We can't wait until next year when the Martin University Center opens so that we can invite even more employers.”
