Location: Eunice & James L. West Library B36
Faculty take note, the student session has relocated to Martin Hall! We will have space to accommodate classes and individual student attendees.
We encourage all to join the Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETL) on Tuesday, September 19 for a day of informative and interactive sessions with guest speaker, Dr. Saundra McGuire. She is the author of Teach Students How to Learn, a book for teachers and students with practical strategies to improve student learning.
She received her B.S. degree, magna cum laude, from Southern University in Baton Rouge, LA, her Master’s degree from Cornell and her Ph.D. from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville, where she received the Chancellor’s Citation for Exceptional Professional Promise. Her most recent awards include induction in 2017 into the LSU College of Science Hall of Distinction and receiving the 2017 American Chemical Society Award for Encouraging Disadvantaged Students to Pursue Careers in the Chemical Sciences.
Dr. McGuire will share her knowledge of cognitive science based learning strategies in interactive workshops for both faculty and students.
