Advising

At Texas Wesleyan, we believe that Smaller. Smarter. means one-on-one attention — both with your professors and your advisors. Your advisor will work with you to stay on track to graduate and help work out the perfect schedule for you.

  1. Track your progress

You have full access to your grades, your overall GPA, your degree audit and more through your Ramlink account. See how you're doing throughout the semester and make sure that you're staying on track to graduate when you want.
  2. Get your questions answered

If you have questions or need some clarification about a course, your advisor is there to help. All you have to do is schedule time to talk.

  3. Register for Class

Once you've discussed your plan with your advisor, you are ready to schedule your courses for the session. You can sign up for courses as late as two days after the session starts — but it's always better to register sooner to lock down your perfect schedule. Registering is easy and is all handled through Ramlink.
  4. Get ready to walk the stage!

Your advisor will be there every step of the way — except when you step on the stage to receive your diploma. Once you're close to graduation, your advisor will verify that you're on track to graduate and help you register for graduation.
  5. If you took time off, reapply

If you haven't been enrolled for two or more consecutive sessions, you'll have to reapply to the program. Once you've been readmitted, you'll follow the same advising process as a new student, except you will work with your advisor to adjust your plan to reflect the courses that you've already taken.
