Professor awarded 2nd place in North Texas Book Festival

The North Texas Book Festival gave professor Dr. Chris Manno a second place award for best fiction. 

Manno is an adjunct professor of English at Texas Wesleyan University. He is the author of the book 'East Jesus: A Texas Novel' You can find Manno's novel in online stores like Amazon, and Barnes and Noble. Manno is also a freelance writer, cartoonist, and an airline captain. He is published in Airways Magazine, Mashable.com, and other periodical works. 

The North Texas Book Festival was founded in 2000 to promote reading and literacy. It's a non-profit organization that has raised and distributed over $45,000 in grants to north Texas libraries in order to promote reading programs. 

Manno said, "It's an honor to be recognized among the best novels of 2017, and I'm grateful for the second place finish."
