Paralegal Studies

About Paralegal Studies

Your degree in paralegal studies is designed to provide you with the skills you'll need to succeed – such as critical thinking, organization, research, writing, effective communication and interpersonal skills. You'll take courses, such as Legal Ethics and Alternative Dispute Resolution, that will prepare you to dive into the paralegal profession and give back to your community.

The paralegal program is made for transfer students coming in from local community colleges. Our expert faculty works to build on what you have already learned and expose you to higher-level legal concepts and skills.

Texas Wesleyan University’s Paralegal Studies Program will begin a teach-out plan beginning in Fall 2025. The program will continue to offer courses for transfer students with an Associate degree in Paralegal Studies who wish to complete a Bachelor of Science in Paralegal Studies for the next three years, allowing students entering in Fall 2025 to complete their degree.

New students will not be admitted to the program following the Fall 2025 entry term.
