Donate shoes to 'Sole Survivor' sexual assault awareness project

03.02.2015 | By: Texas Wesleyan University

The Texas Wesleyan campus is creating a Sole Survivor display for national Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM), but it can't happen without your shoes.

Gently used men's and women's shoe donations of all sizes will be accepted March 16-April 1 in the West Library.

A shoe display will be positioned around the library entrance to represent the number of sexual assault survivors among college students annually, as part of the Day of Action event on April 7. After the event, the shoes will be donated to The Women's Center and local hospitals specifically for sexual assault survivors.

For more information about the Sole Survivor event, please check out the event page

For questions or to volunteer to help, please contact Kaeli Vandertulip, Sole Survivor coordinator.
