Ph.D. in Romance Languages with a specialization in twentieth-century Spanish literature from the University of Alabama in 2002

Research Interests

Her research, conference presentations, and publications have focused on Carmen de Burgos and other vanguard feminist authors in the context of fin de siècle letters. Her article "Razing Their Voices: Carmen de Burgos's Subtextual Revisions of the Works of José Zorilla and Gustavo Adolfo Bécquer in El veneno del arte" won the Feministas Unidas annual essay contest in 2003. She has also published in Letras Peninsulares and the South Atlantic Review.
