Theatre Professor, Connie Whitt-Lambert, Receives Inaugural Impact Award

Theatre Professor Connie Whitt-Lambert will be named the inaugural recipient of Southwest Christian School's Civic Arts Impact Award this spring. Cyndi Kelly Woodward, the director of Southwest Christian's theatre arts program and a Texas Wesleyan University alumna, presented Whitt-Lambert with the award in a ceremony that will be held on the SCS campus.
The criteria for the award include the following: the recipient must be a guiding light as a passionate and committed individual of service to others with a lasting impact on the arts community and beyond. Whitt-Lambert's significant involvement in the North Texas area was also a contributing factor, her contributions included being involved in Circle Theatre's High School Playwriting Project, Theatre Wesleyan's long-running Playmarket series, among others.
As someone with meritorious work in an arts field, Whitt-Lambert's theatre work in both professional and educational settings makes her an excellent recipient of the award.
The ceremony will be held at the school's 21st Annual Awards ceremony in May.
