Ryan M. Rich, Ph.D.

TXWES Headshot of Ryan M. Rich, Physics

Ryan Rich

Associate Professor of Physics
Ella C. McFadden Science Center 104

Education

  • Postdoctoral Fellowship in Molecular Biology and Immunology, University of North Texas Health Science Center
  • Ph.D. Physics, Texas Christian University
  • B.S. Physics, Centre College

Research Interests

Professor Rich's primary research interests are in the area of biophysics, including time-correlated, single molecule fluorescence microscopy. Specifically, he is interested in extremely sensitive detection of low-abundance biomolecules and the effects of disease on cell motility. Professor Rich also is continuing to develop novel methods of increasing contrast for imaging in highly dense tissue specimen.
