Being held virtually, GEW Fort Worth aims to inspire attendees through activities designed to help people explore their potential as self-starters and innovators. Many events will highlight existing entrepreneurs and their path to entrepreneurial success. Texas Wesleyan co-founded GEW Fort Worth, along with The University of North Texas Health Science Center and is partnering with the Dallas Entrepreneurship Center for the 2020 event.

This year’s themes include:

  • Main Street North Texas — Celebrating local entrepreneurship by shining the spotlight on startups and small businesses in our own backyards
  • Emerging tech/Innovation — Exploring the stories, impact and economic effects of current and emerging innovations
  • Inclusion — Highlighting the work startup championships are doing around the world to minimize barriers and obstacles for entrepreneurs regardless of their background
  • Funding — Discovering the many different ways to fund a business, including equity, loans, grants and innovative new products
