Senior GPNA student presents case study on pediatric anesthesia

Nicholas Janke, a graduating senior in August 2025 was recently invited to present a case study at the Society for Pediatric Anesthesia in Florida. Nick was accompanied by Dr. Deis from Denver Health Hospital where Nick is completing his residency as a Registered Resident Nurse Anesthetist. The case report was on a 4-year-old male undergoing dental restoration when he developed SVT refractory to adenosine. Successful cardioversion followed. The child later underwent successful EP study and ablation.

On top of the tremendous clinical experiences that our clinical sites are providing, Wesleyan students are receiving experiences like this one - presenting at a national, physician conference. They are also attending AANA Congress, Mid-Year Assembly, state association meetings, and mission trips. Without your help we might not have these opportunities. Please support these opportunities and more by donating to the “School of Health Professions - Reinke Annual Fund.” We appreciate you!
