2015 Robing & Hooding Ceremonies

A Wesleyan Tradition Since 1927

‌Honor the professor that has had the most impact on your Wesleyan experience by allowing him/her to robe/hood you during these special academic ceremonies.

Fall 2015 Ceremonies

Martin Hall
Friday, December 11

  • Robing: 11 a.m.
  • GPNA Hooding:  3 p.m.
  • Graduate Hooding: 6 p.m.

How to Participate

Students who wish to participate must submit a Robing/Hooding Card to the Office of the Provost. Please note, cards must be signed by your chosen professor in order to be considered complete.

Because of limited seating, all participating students will receive two tickets for their guests. Students may sign up for extra tickets at the time the robing and hooding card is submitted.

Robing & Hooding Card Deadline: November 18, 2015

Day of Ceremony

Undergraduate Students

  • 10:15 a.m. — Arrive in the McFaddenScience Lecture Theater
    • You will be placed in order and receive final instructions
    • Bring your robe and hood (no cap)

GPNA Graduate Students

  • 2:15 p.m. — Arrive in the McFadden Science Lecture Theatre
    • You will be placed in order and receive final instructions
    • Bring your robe; hoods will be received when you check in for the ceremony

Graduate Students

  • 5:15 p.m. — Arrive in the McFadden Science Lecture Theatre
    • You will be placed in order and receive final instructions
    • Bring your robe; hoods will be received when you check in for the ceremony

Please note: Caps and cords are not needed for robing or hooding. Please leave personal items such as bags and purses with family, at home, or in your car.

Faculty

  • Arrive in the hallway of the McFadden Science Center in regalia (no cap) by:
    • 10:15 a.m. for robing
    • 2:15 p.m. for GPNA hooding
    • 5:15 p.m. for graduate hooding
