You applied, got your acceptance letter and now you’re wondering, “What’s my next step?” You’ll need to pick your classes and buy your textbooks, but before you get too far, you might want to think about where you’re going to live. Here are three great reasons why you should submit your student housing application today.

1. You’ll never complain about a long commute

When you live in one of our residence halls, you’re steps away from class, not miles. You’ll have enough on your plate studying and getting involved on campus, don’t add morning traffic to your list.

Not to mention, you’re right next door to Dora’s Dining Hall with an endless supply of pizza, ice cream and even salad. The West Express Eatery is only a five-minute walk and has burritos, made-to-order pizzas and tons of on-the-go snacks. If that’s not reason enough to live on campus, we’re not sure what is.

2. The sooner you apply, the better

If you submit your student housing application today, you’ll have a better shot at getting your first-choice residence hall. Rooms are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. Take a look at your residence hall options, and apply today.

3. The numbers say you'll make better grades

Studies show that students who live on campus make better grades than students who don't. Adjusting to the college experience is hard. Why not make it a little easier by living in student housing? That's not the only thing studies are saying, though. Students who live on campus are more likely to graduate and graduate sooner. Have we convinced you yet?

We’ve given you three reasons to apply for student housing, but in all reality, there are plenty more. You’ll be down the hall from all of your friends, and if you don't meet the exemption requirements you might not have a choice. Fill out your application, pay your housing deposit and get the full Ram experience at Texas Wesleyan.
