ALUMNI PIANO CONCERT - NOCTURNES

7:30 p.m. - Martin Hall, Texas Wesleyan Campus

A Nocturne is a short piece of Romantic dreamy character suggestive of night that allows for a more intimate connection between the artist and the audience. Frederic Chopin has received the credit for perfecting the genre of the Nocturne.

This concert will present several other composers besides Chopin who also wrote beautiful Nocturnes but are seldom performed. Eight piano alumni have been invited to join current piano students and faculty in this recital to perform several of these more underrepresented composers of Nocturnes. A slide show will be featured during the concert. Free admission.
