Geno Borchardt ’86 to receive Wesleyan Service Award at Alumni Medal Dinner

09.16.2019 | By:

Geno Borchardt is a first-generation college graduate and is forever grateful to Texas Wesleyan for providing him opportunities of a lifetime. As a student, Geno was a captain on the cross-country team, served as vice president of the Student Government Association and Alpha Phi Omega, was managing editor of The Rambler, was named Mr. Texas Wesleyan and presented with the Haltom Award.

After graduating from Texas Wesleyan with a 4.0 GPA, Geno earned honors at Baylor University School of Law.  His legal career began as a briefing attorney to the Texas Supreme Court and in 1990 he returned to Fort Worth to begin a private law practice. Geno is currently the principal of the Borchardt Law Firm, PLLC, and his practice focuses on representing victims of wrongdoing.  Throughout the years, he has achieved landmark victories for his clients in Trial Courts, Courts of Appeals, the Texas Supreme Court, and the United States Supreme Court.  For Geno, practicing law is an opportunity to help others in times of great tribulation.

Today, Geno remains deeply involved at Texas Wesleyan.  He is a member of the President’s Advisory Board, Football Advisory Committee, President of the Ram Club and “The Voice of the Rams” at all the home football games.

The most treasured part of Geno’s life is his family. Geno has been married to Lindy for 29 years. Lindy is also a lawyer, focusing on family law. Geno and Lindy are the proud parents of two sons: Grahme, 26, and Grayson, 23.

Help celebrate Geno and his service to Texas Wesleyan at the Alumni Medal Dinner on Oct. 18 in the Martin Center.
