“More devices than ever before are connected to the internet and serving up our website for the world to see,” Michael Smith, web developer, said. “This redesign improves our already responsive website and allows it to scale up intuitively for larger screens while still displaying all the relevant and pertinent information on smaller devices.”

Smith says this is vital in this day and age because users expect websites to load quickly. A longer wait means they are more likely to leave the site and go somewhere else.

For many visitors, navigating to a topic of choice is the same. But you’ll be getting there faster, thanks to small changes under the hood, and a new drop-down feature that will directly link you to top areas.

Combined with the adoption of our web accessibility policy, txwes.edu’s redesign will make pages cleaner than ever before for users with visual and hearing impairments.
