The campus may appear quiet while students are on summer break, but it is one of the busiest times of year for several departments, including the facilities team. Here are some of the many campus improvement projects facilities will be tackling this summer:

  • Improvements to the stairs, ramps and railing in front of the Human Resources offices in the O’Neal Sells Administration Building
  • Completion of the campus-wide re-keying project
  • Improvements to campus sidewalks near Collard St., outside of the Sid Richardson entrance
  • Security lighting improvements to parking lots U, E and L, and the Collard St. sidewalk
  • Installing irrigation systems to the campus athletic and intramural fields
  • Painting and installing LED lighting in the Poly United Methodist Church sanctuary, as well as installing a new roof
  • Improvements to the GPNA north parking lot
  • Replacing select doors in Dan Waggoner Annex and the Sid Richardson Building
  • Replacement of carpet, ceiling tile and lab chairs in select areas of the NBC Building
  • Several improvements to residence halls to improve safety, security, functionality and aesthetics
  • Improvements to HVAC systems in buildings across campus
