For the second year in a row, the Texas Wesleyan University men's basketball team participated in Central Market's Feast of Sharing. Last year, the Rams served food at the event. This year, the team served as entertainment in the kids zone.

"Being able to give back to the community and put a smile on those kids' faces and make their day is an unexplainable feeling," said senior guard Doug Compton.

The Feast of Sharing dinner was started by Central Market's parent company, H-E-B, more than 25 years ago. The event is free and open to people of all ages. Guests were served a complete Thanksgiving dinner served by a wait staff of volunteers. Between events in both Fort Worth and Dallas, Central Market was prepared to serve up to 20,000 people from the HEB Mobile Kitchen.

"This is genuinely what this team is all about," said head coach Brennen Shingleton. "I couldn't be more proud of them in these types of environments. Coach Orlando [Carillo] always does a great job of getting us into this event, and this year we were able to be in the kids zone which made all our our days. It's a humbling experience, and I know my guys really appreciated the reason for being there, which is to give back!"
