In its 12th year as a supporter, Texas Wesleyan is the largest contributor to Meal on Wheels’ Giving Tree in Tarrant County.

In 2014, Texas Wesleyan collected 366 gifts, 71 bags of pet food and $227 cash donations and $405 donations from Christmas Tree auctions for Meals on Wheels clients through the program.

The West Library needs your help to continue this important Wesleyan tradition of giving back to our community.

Stop by and pick up a star and drop off your gift, now through Dec. 8th

There are three ways you can contribute:

  1. Stop by the Giving Tree in the West Library to select a star gift tag. Return your unwrapped gift to the library by Dec. 8.

  2. Drop off a bag of pet food at the library’s circulation desk by Dec. 8. This is an important gift for Meals on Wheels clients. Often, seniors in need will share their food with their pets. Donating pet food helps ensure that warm meals go to the clients.

  3. Bid on a mini Christmas tree from the library's decorating contest. Money raised from the silent auction of decorated mini Christmas trees will support Meals on Wheels’ clients. The auction closes at 1 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 5.
