Calling All Local Poets

Tree for Author Day

Have you published poetry?  Are you part of the Texas Wesleyan community?

The West Library will have its first ever Texas Wesleyan Local Poet’s Day, featuring poetry by authors who have a connection to Texas Wesleyan.

Faculty, staff and students are invited to participate if they have published poetry in literary journals, magazines, book form both traditional or self-published.  There will be time for authors to sell their books.

The West Library has had two Texas Wesleyan Local Author Days, but there were so many local authors that the decision was made to have a separate event for poets.  “Our goal is to expand our community of local authors and readers, building on the events begun last year,” says Risa Brown, reference librarian coordinating the book fair.

Please contact Risa Brown  817-531-4802 if you would like to participate.
