Professors Win Pedagogy Award

Carol Johnson-Gerendas, assistant professor of communication, and Stacia Dunn Neeley, associate professor of English, received the Pedagogy in Rhetoric Award at the Conference of College Teachers of English on Saturday, March 3.

Their individual papers, entitled "'What's TEXT Got to Do With It': Assessing Visual and Textual Elements in First-Year Writing Projects" (Johnson-Gerendas) and "Embedding Ethics in Assignment Design and Assessment: Using the E-Folio to Close the Loop for Students in First-Year Composition Classes" (Neeley), will be published in the 2012 issue of CCTE Studies, a peer-reviewed scholarly journal.
