Out of an abundance of caution and in continued consideration of weather and travel conditions across the area, Texas Wesleyan University has made the decision to extend campus closure and virtual operations for Tuesday, January 27. Campus facilities will remain closed during this period to prioritize the safety of our community.
- Faculty are asked to continue instructional activities through virtual or alternative formats, consistent with established inclement weather and instructional continuity plans.
- Staff members should be prepared to work remotely when feasible and appropriate, recognizing that individual circumstances may vary due to factors such as power availability, internet access, or home conditions. Staff should coordinate directly with their supervisors regarding specific expectations, priorities, and flexibility during this time.
- Students should refer to Canvas and follow any communication from their instructors for guidance regarding virtual class sessions, alternative assignments, attendance expectations, or adjusted deadlines. Instructional approaches may vary by course based on individual faculty plans. If you experience challenges related to technology access, power outages, or connectivity, please communicate directly with your instructor as soon as possible so modifications can be made.
Additional updates will be shared as conditions change. Please continue to monitor your Texas Wesleyan email and official university communication channels.
