Texas Wesleyan University Recognized Among Nation’s Top Universities for Producing Small Business Owners
FORT WORTH, Texas — Texas Wesleyan University was recently recognized as one of the top universities in the nation for producing small business owners, according to a new study by OnDeck.
The study, which analyzed LinkedIn data from graduates of 436 top-ranked U.S. colleges, found that Texas Wesleyan ranks 10th nationally among leading institutions, 7th among private universities and 4th in the Southern region for entrepreneurial outcomes -- producing 312 small business owners per 10,000 graduates. The OnDeck data highlights Texas Wesleyan’s ability to equip graduates with business leadership skills, demonstrating the university’s strong connection to workforce readiness and economic impact.

Small businesses play a critical role in the U.S. economy, accounting for 99.9% of all businesses nationwide and employing nearly half of the workforce, according to the study’s findings.
