Graduate Programs in Nursing Anesthesia and Counseling Earn Top National Ranking

FORT WORTH, Texas – Texas Wesleyan University's graduate programs in nursing anesthesia and counseling (identified as psychology) have once again received national recognition, according to the U.S. News & World Report 2025 rankings released today. The university's graduate nursing anesthesia program has been ranked among the top in the nation, alongside its highly regarded graduate counseling programs.
The nursing anesthesia program at Texas Wesleyan is the largest in the nation and is a well-established leader in the medical industry. The program is highly competitive, often with a waitlist for enrollment. According to the American Association of Nurse Anesthesiology, nurse anesthetists earn an average salary of $212,650. The job outlook for the field projects a 38% growth through 2032. Graduates of the program achieve a 100% placement rate in hospitals, clinics, and surgical facilities nationwide.
Texas Wesleyan's counseling graduate program also continues its tradition of national recognition. Graduates are known for their ability to work in private practices, clinics, community relations roles, as well as marketing and human resources. Depending on their role, graduates in this field earn between $77,500 and over $100,000 annually. The mental health field is experiencing significant growth, making psychology a leading topic across all human services and corporate sectors.
