Intro to Comparative Religions

Stephanie Sloan serves as our University Chaplain and Director of Spiritual Life. She brings more than 20 years of ministry experience to Texas Wesleyan, including 16 years spent serving on college campuses. Her background includes a decade of chaplaincy work with Division I collegiate athletes as well as service in hospital settings. She also has experience in church planting, consulting, media, podcasting, and leading worship. Though new to TXWES, Stephanie is enthusiastic about the opportunity to support and care for our campus community. She joined the staff at Texas Wesleyan in September 2025. 

Before coming to TXWES, Stephanie served as the Director of the Baptist Student Ministry at the University of North Texas for 16 years. She holds a BBA from Belmont University, a Master of Divinity from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, and a Ph.D. in Leadership Studies from Dallas Baptist University. 

In her free time, Stephanie loves spending time with her husband, Randall, and their four Australian Shepherds, playing music, trying new restaurants, spending time with friends, traveling, being “Aunt Stephie” to her two nieces, and reading.
