Job Search Coaching

Need help developing your resume or cover letter? Our career counselors can show you sample resumes and critique yours. All staff are trained on the latest resume changes employers suggest in the DFW area.   Interviewing can be intimidating. We'll take you through a mock interview so you can rock the real thing. We'll then give you constructive feedback on everything from rewording, to body language, eye content and what to wear.   Our career counselors will assist you with planning your job search, from where to look to how to network. They start with getting an overview of your career goals and then suggesting certain websites and contacts to help you find that big opportunity.

Choosing Your Major/Career

Gaining Work Experience

We work closely with the Academic Success Center on putting together personal statements. While we won't write it for you, we will help craft your ideas into the best statement possible.   We'll help you with tips on how to choose your major and how it relates to your career options. A career counselor will recommend that you take an assessment to narrow down your interests. We'll look at the results and give you suggestions to discuss with your advisor.    Have you ever been told you need more experience? Are you wondering how you can get experience if no one will give you a chance? We can help you identify internships, volunteer opportunities and other options to help build your resume.
