Jesse Kao with MFT Student of the Year Award at TXWES

We are thrilled to share an inspiring story about one of our exceptional students, Jesse Kao, who has recently received the Outstanding MFT Student of the Year award from the Texas Association for Marriage & Family Therapy. This remarkable achievement highlights Jesse's dedication and excellence in the field of Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT). We couldn’t be prouder of his success!

Jesse’s accomplishments don’t stop there. He has also secured a prestigious position at UCLA Medical School, where he will be integrating Family Therapy into the training of future physicians. This is a groundbreaking opportunity, as it emphasizes the importance of holistic care, where emotional and relational health are considered just as vital as physical health.

Jesse’s success not only reflects his hard work as a master's student but also the nurturing environment created by our faculty, like Dr. Bishop, who continue to inspire and support students to reach their fullest potential. We look forward to seeing how Jesse will continue to change the field of Family Therapy, and we are incredibly proud to have him as part of our alumni community. His achievements inspire us all, and we can’t wait to see what the future holds for him!
