Risk Management

The mission of the Texas Wesleyan University Office of Risk Management is to provide a comprehensive risk management program that contributes to the health, safety and protection of students, employees and visitors and to the protection of physical and financial assets.

• The Office of Risk Management partners with our stakeholders to create an environment where faculty, staff and students assume a risk management philosophy. The office works closely and collaborates with various stakeholders on campus to identify and manage risk.
• The Office of Risk Management fosters a culture of prevention throughout the Texas Wesleyan University campus, seeking to involve all parts of the institution in moving beyond just simply responding to events and taking responsibility for individual opportunities to being change.
• The Office of Risk Management strives to provide service, support and safety to every member of the Texas Wesleyan University community and to educate faculty, staff and students so they can be a part of the risk management process. The goal is to engage each department to identify, analyze and control the risk of loss in their specific areas.
• The vision of the Office of Risk Management is to achieve a culture that emphasizes the control of risk in a manner that enhances the quality of the University’s campus operations, facilities, services and lives of students, staff, faculty and visitors.
