Faculty

Faculty members are asked to arrive at the Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary no later than 30 minutes prior to the start of the ceremony. Please be advised that parking fills quickly as guests are permitted to enter one hour prior to the start of the ceremony. There is no reserved parking, so faculty are advised to arrive early.

When faculty members enter the SWBTS campus, they should go to the MacGorman Chapel and enter through the "Faculty Entrance" door located on the east side of the building. There will be a sign leading you to the entrance as well as student volunteers. Faculty will line up in the choir room.

Faculty are required to confirm attendance with the dean's admin in each respective school. Tickets are not required for attendance, but confirmed attendance is.

Full-time faculty members are expected to attend official academic University functions such as robing & hooding and commencement. Please refer to 5.1.2 of the Faculty Handbook.

All academic regalia should be worn to the Commencement ceremony, including mortar boards and tams.
