GPNA and NP 2024 Commencement

The GPNA and NP 2024 Commencement Ceremony will take place on Saturday, August 17 at 10 a.m. at the Truett Auditorium on the campus of the Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.

Important Information

RSVP Information

All graduates who have applied for graduation, ordered or purchased their regalia and intend to participate in the Commencement Ceremony are required to RSVP. The RSVP site will close at 11:50 p.m. on Friday, August 9.

Graduates will need their student ID number and TXWES email to RSVP to participate in the commencement ceremony. Use the link at the top of the page to submit your RSVP.

Regalia (Cap and Gown) Information

Order your custom academic regalia exclusively from Herff Jones no later than July 17 to avoid additional fees. It's tailored to you and the degree you've earned. Regalia must be paid for at the time of ordering and will be shipped directly to the graduate at no additional cost.

Graduates must successfully order or purchase their regalia to be eligible to RSVP for the commencement ceremony.

Late orders for the commencement ceremony will not be accepted. Beginning July 17 graduates can purchase their regalia directly from the University Campus Bookstore. All purchases must be made in-person and an additional fee will apply. Select items are not guaranteed to be in stock and quantities are limited.

Ticket Information

  • The Commencement ceremony is a ticketed event and all guests must have a ticket.
  • Graduates who submit an RSVP during the designated RSVP period will receive 7 tickets for guests.
  • Seating is available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
  • Doors open one hour prior to the start of the ceremony.
  • Children under the age of two who can sit on a parent's lap during the ceremony do not need a ticket. Children over the age of two need a ticket. If you need a seat, you need a ticket!
  • Wheelchair-accessible seating is available on both floors. Guests may use the elevator to access the second floor.
