Amanda Novak, director of advising and new student programs, will serve her last day at Texas Wesleyan on Friday, Jan. 15. She has accepted a program administrator position at the American Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology (ABOG).
Academic Success Center (ASC) director, Michael Greer, will serve as interim director while the office of the provost conducts a search to find a permanent director of advising and student success.
Novak will be greatly missed, and anyone wishing to bid her farewell is encouraged to send a card or drop by her office. Due to scheduling issues at this busy time and at Novak's request, there will not be a reception.
Amanda came to Wesleyan in 2011 as an advising process coordinator for the Department of Education Title III grant program.
Amanda then transitioned into the role of director of advising and new student programs. She has provided oversight to new student testing, advising, registration and orientation programming as well as continuing Freshman advising and new student programming.
Amanda has been invaluable during a period of unprecedented growth in international student enrollment.
