As collegiate athletes know, playing sports is about so much more than the game. It’s about growing as a person, forming a bond with coaches and teammates and making memories that last a lifetime.
You can help create those experiences for our football players this season. Come be a part of the “Ram Walk” – a new tradition happening before each home game. Alumni, students, parents and friends are invited to line the rim of the stadium 20 minutes before the game to cheer and “clap in” the team as they take the field.
Special teams and defensive coach Tony McClain helped make this vision a reality here at TXWES. He remembers seeing a similar event when he visited Auburn University as a potential player. “I was able to experience the Tiger walk and that was the moment I felt that this was a family atmosphere.” The excitement and camaraderie that those traditions evoked helped him make his decision to play there.
McClain wants the same thing for his players at TXWES. “The Ram Walk represents family, school culture, and unity,” says McClain. “We all represent the same family – Texas Wesleyan University!”
Don’t miss out on this opportunity to support our athletes in a special way. Let’s show up strong and represent the RAM-ily at the Ram Walk this fall!
