Ayah Sayyed ’06 has completed a new book, aimed at young readers, about the power of family and community.

Sabeel and her Superheroes follows a little girl with Down Syndrome throughout a typical day. In the story, Sabeel recognizes the help she gets along the way from the ‘superheroes’ in her life, including her teacher, therapist and, most of all, her family.

“The story is about inclusion and the ability to see the ‘powers’ in our everyday life,” Sayyed said in a release about her book.
