March is Diversity and Inclusion – Disability Awareness Month. On March 1 between 12:15 and 1:30 there will be an informational gallery event to introduce the Wesleyan family to Evergreen Life Services.
Upon touring Evergreen Life Services, one comes upon an entry that displays paintings, ceramics, jewelry, sculptures all made by members of Evergreen. The mission of Evergreen Life Services is to “serve, provide for, and champion individuals with disabilities.” Evergreen “advocates for the rights of individuals with disabilities” by providing help and support to make the dreams of individuals with disabilities become a reality.
After viewing the beautiful crafts made by members of Evergreen, the tour takes you behind the scenes where creativity abounds. You see friendly faces, accepting hands ready to greet you, smiles, and loads of creativity.
Please put March 6, between 12:15 and 1:30 on your calendar. Come over to the Bernice Coulter Templeton Art Studio & Gallery to learn about this wonderful organization. You will see some of the crafts made by members of Evergreen Live Services.
